🤝 By Shopping With Us, You're Agreeing to These Terms
Every time you grab something from Cooly Bikes, you're saying "yep, I'm cool with these terms" - both for yourself and anyone you're buying for. If you're not happy with any part of these terms or don't have the authority to agree on someone else's behalf, no worries - just don't complete your purchase. These terms cover everything we sell - bikes, gear, accessories, the lot!
⚖️ Liability - The Important Legal Stuff
Here's the deal: Cooly Bikes Pty Ltd won't be liable for any special, indirect, or consequential damages, even if we knew they might happen.
Your responsibility: Once you've got our gear, you're responsible for how it's used. We won't be liable for accidents, misuse, injuries, or damage - whether it's from power settings, speed, component issues, or anything else. This applies regardless of the cause.
What you're taking on:
- Full responsibility for all products and components
- Understanding battery safety (charging, storage, transport)
- Proper maintenance and safe use
- Following all safety guidelines and local regulations
Our part: We handle quality control and supplier selection, but everything else is on you, legend! Check our manuals and website info, but remember - we can't cover every possible scenario.
Traffic rules: You must follow all local, state, and federal traffic laws and age restrictions when riding.
🛣️ Street Legal? Here's What That Means
When we say "street legal," we mean it meets Australian Electric Bike Regulations as far as we know. These bikes are considered bicycles, not motor vehicles - no license, registration, or insurance needed!
But hang on: "Street legal" doesn't mean you can ride everywhere. Parks, trails, and bike paths might have their own rules about e-bikes.
Your job: Check your local laws before riding. We're not responsible for fines or consequences if you ride somewhere you shouldn't.
🔧 Warranty - We've Got You Covered (With Some Conditions)
If something's genuinely faulty due to workmanship, we'll fix or replace it:
Coverage:
- Frame: 1 years
- Electrical bits: 1 year
What's NOT covered:
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage from crashes, misuse, or poor maintenance
- Modifications (sorry, no custom jobs!)
- Commercial use
- Tyre punctures
- Water damage (they're water-resistant, not waterproof!)
- Scratches from shipping (we'll send touch-up paint instead)
Assembly heads up: Some adjustment might be needed after shipping - that's normal! Instructions are on our website, but if you get a bike shop to help, that's on your dime.
Making a claim: Email us with proof of purchase. We might need photos, videos, or ask you to do some troubleshooting. Our tech team makes the final call on what's covered.
Returns/exchanges: You cover shipping costs both ways, and everything needs to be properly packed in original packaging.
📦 Shipping - Getting Your Gear to You
We guarantee your order will reach you! If it gets lost, we'll send a replacement free. But we can't control courier delays or scheduling hiccups.
Delivery requires a signature - if no one's home, you might cop a redelivery fee.
Damaged packages? Take photos and get the courier to note any damage. You might need to help us with insurance claims.
🔄 Returns - Changed Your Mind?
(Website orders only - in-store purchases follow store policy)
Return shipping is on you. Everything needs to go back in original packaging (no packaging = no refund), and you need our written approval via email before sending anything back.
If stuff gets damaged during return due to poor packing, repair costs are yours to cover.
🛠️ After-Sales Service
Even for non-warranty stuff, we might need proof of purchase to confirm you're a genuine customer. Buying second-hand? Get the original receipt from the first owner.
📸 Your Content
Share a review, photo, video, or testimonial with us? You're giving us permission to use it however we find useful. Cheers for that!
🚫 Website Errors
We're not perfect! If there are typos or errors on our website or materials, we're not liable for any consequences. We'll fix them when we spot them.
📅 Delivery Times
Any delivery dates we give are estimates only. We'll do our best to hit them, but we're not liable if things run late.
🌪️ Force Majeure (Stuff Beyond Our Control)
Sometimes life happens - natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, government actions, power outages, etc. If something like this prevents us from delivering, we might need to cancel or delay your order. We'll let you know ASAP if this happens.
